Roma winger Justin Kluivert is in talks to sign for the Cottagers.
His father said: "I hope the club will provide, because Justin has his own history to write and deserves a club that will play him consistently.
"It's crucial for his development."
Last season, Kluivert was on-loan with Nice. He made 31 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2159 minutes. In that time, he scored six goals and provided six assists.
