Th father of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland admits 2023 has been a perfect year for them.
Haaland was key to City's Treble last season.
And father Alf-Inge told VG: "As a father, supporter and agent for Erling, the whole of 2023 has been one long upswing.
"Seeing him win 'The Treble' in his first season was powerful. But if I have to single out one thing, it might have to be seeing him perform as well so far in a new season as the last. To be able to reset and become mentally ready after all the experiences and impressions from the first season is a very strong achievement.
"I think, fortunately, it is mostly the case that it is everything around Erling that changes and not him himself. But the surroundings and the attention means that together with him we constantly have to make choices and decisions to safeguard what is always the first priority: to do everything we can to facilitate what happens on the pitch.
"This means, among other things, that we have to say no to a lot. Many things are easy to say no to, while some are difficult for various reasons."
