- The FBI hasn’t ruled out terrorism after a gunman opened fire at a bar in Austin, Texas, early Sunday, killing two people and injuring 14 others.
- The suspect initially shot at people on a patio and in front of Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden on Sixth Street from his SUV, police said in an update Sunday afternoon.
- He then exited the vehicle with a rifle and continued shooting before being killed by responding police officers.
- The FBI is investigating the incident as a potential act of terrorism due to "indicators" found on the gunman and in his vehicle, said Alex Doran, the acting agent in charge of the FBI’s San Antonio office.
- “It’s still too early to make a determination on that,” Doran added, as Austin Mayor Kirk Watson praised the rapid response of police and rescuers, stating their actions "definitely saved lives."
