Fearne Cotton has opened up on the pressures of being a single working mother.

Speaking to Ruth Langsford on her Happy Place podcast on Monday (23 March), the 44-year-old discussed how she has been juggling work and family time following her divorce from Jesse Wood in 2024 after a decade of marriage.

She explained that she recently took up a new project after “wrestling” with the decision. “It's important that I'm financially on track, and I'm on my own, and, you know, doing it properly.”

The BBC Radio 2 presenter said that she was able to successfully explain to her children that she would be away from home more due to new work commitments. “That took a bit of the stress away,” she said.
