Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Government did not pay a single sen to Berjaya Land Bhd (B-Land) to conduct a feasibility study on the relocation of the Kota Kinabalu

International Airport KKIA) to Kimanis.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the Government agreed to appoint Berjaya Land based on “confidence” and not its perceived experience on similar projects.

“Perhaps Berjaya Group may not have the experience in such endeavour, I am not really sure about this,” he told the State Assembly sitting, here, Wednesday.

“However, I am confident that they (B-Land) will engage with local and foreign consultants who have the experience in the construction of an airport,” he said in reply to a supplementary question by Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal (Senallang-Warisan).
