Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is upbeat on Sir Jim Ratcliffe's investment in the club.
Ratcliffe is buying a 25 per cent stake in United.
Ferguson, who has a good relationship with owners, the Glazers, told Gambling Zone: "I am still a director of the club and I know Jim well.
"We shall have to see what he does but I am optimistic."
It's been suggested Ratcliffe will be using Ferguson as a sounding board once he joins the club.
