
MANILA, Philippines — The FEU Lady Tamaraws charged back to the win column after fending off an inspired third set performance by the UE Lady Warriors, 25-11, 25-15, 25-22, in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum Wednesday.
Dominated in the first two sets, the Lady Warriors lived up to their moniker and kept in step with the Lady Tamaraws in the third frame at 21-all and 22-23.
Faida Bakanke made sure FEU wouldn't budge, delivering the last two points for the Lady Tamaraws who improved to 5-3 for third place.
Bakanke finished with 14 points on 12 attacks and two blocks on top of five excellent digs to lead FEU.
Khy Cepada racked up 15 points, 10 digs, and seven receptions, who stayed winless this season at 0-8 and suffered their 22nd straight loss dating back to last year.
