The Philippines captured four gold medals in athletics at the ASEAN Para Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on Friday.

The surge enabled the country to surpass its 10-gold haul in the previous meet in Cambodia back in 2023, now boasting of 11 golds with still two competition days left.

Rodrigo Podiotan Jr., Jesebel Tordecilla, Joshua Santos, and Arvie John Arreglado topped their respective events for the 4 gold medal surge.

Podiotan reigned supreme in men's 100m T52; Tordecilla in women's javelin F55, Santos in men's long jump T46, and Arreglado in men's long jump T47.
