PENAMPANG: Penampang MP Datuk Ewon Benedick thanked Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek for approving allocations to address the needs of two flood-affected secondary schools here.

Ewon, who is also Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, said the request had been raised during a recent Cabinet meeting.

He said he also asked the Minister to visit SMK Limbanak to personally view the school’s condition, in addition to St Michael’s Secondary School in Penampang which was allocated funds to reduce the impact of damage caused by the floods.

“For SMK Limbanak, the Education Ministry has approved allocations for the maintenance and repair of the school hall.

“As the MP for Penampang, I truly appreciate the swift action of the Ministry in approving these allocations to ensure the smooth continuation of teaching and learning,” he said.

Ewon accompanied Fadhlina on her working visit on Friday to both schools, where she inspected their facilities and needs.
