Kota Kinabalu: Michelle Voo is the new chairperson of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) Sabah chapter for 2025-2027.

Voo is committed to driving financial literacy and expanding the chapter’s influence.

Deputy is James Chin with over 10 years of experience in financial planning.

Chapter Secretary is Mae Chai while Jenifer Chin is Head of Membership.

The rest are Head of Continuous Education (CE) and Events, Catherine Wong and Head of Public Relations, Dolly Ho and Jade Pang as Head of Discipline.

The Chapter participated in two major events under the Financial Education Network (FEN), in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS).

These programs—KBS Program Literasi Kewangan Belia 2025—were held on July 30 at SMK Kuala Penyu, Beaufort with 100 participants, and Aug 2 at Kolej Matrikulasi Labuan with 165 participants.

“We want to bring financial planning to every corner of Sabah—not just to those within the profession, but to everyday people and families who can benefit from better financial understanding,” said Voo.

Established in 1999, FPAM is dedicated to advancing the financial planning profession, promoting ethical practices, and fostering financial literacy across the nation.
