
- The NSN Development Team has withdrawn from the Volta a Portugal following the death of 19-year-old rider Finlay Tarling.
- Tarling, the younger brother of Ineos Grenadiers cyclist Josh Tarling, died following a “serious accident” while taking part in the eighth stage of the 166.8km route.
- Race organisers confirmed the event would continue “in an atmosphere of profound mourning”, with all promotional celebrations cancelled for the final two days.
- With the support of Tarling's family, the NSN WorldTour team will race on at the Czech Tour and the Arctic Race of Norway in his honour.
- Portugal's National Republican Guard has launched an investigation to establish the circumstances of the fatal incident.
