Three wooden business premises on Pulau Perhentian were completely destroyed in an early morning fire, with no casualties reported

JERTIH: Three premises located near a resort on Pulau Perhentian were destroyed in a fire early this morning.

Besut district police chief Supt Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim said his team received information about the incident at 4.25 am.

The fire is believed to have started from a business premises owned by a local trader. It then spread to a snorkelling service shop and a grocery store.

Preliminary investigations found all the wooden premises, which were located along the beach, were completely razed. No casualties were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
