
KUNAK: An eight-year-old boy endured pain after his finger got stuck in the bucket of a Toyota Hilux in an incident at Jalan Pelabuhan Kunak, early Wednesday morning.
Kunak Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Muhammad Omarbatha, said his team received an emergency call at 8:53am and immediately rushed to the scene, about one kilometre away from the station.
AdvertisementA rescue team, led by PBKII (KUP) Oma Tome, along with several personnel, arrived at the location using an FRT (Fire Rescue Tender) and EMRS (Emergency Medical Rescue Services) vehicle.
“Upon arrival, the rescue team found the boy still standing on the Hilux with his finger trapped,” he told Daily Express.

Read more The team used a “paratech tool” to release the Hilux’s rear latch, freeing the boy’s finger.
The child sustained only minor injuries to his finger, and the operation was ended at 9:05am.
