
FIRST lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will continue her nationwide rice distribution initiative by visiting communities in several cities.
The “Mula sa Puso Para sa Pamilya” project will resume on Monday in San Juan City, followed by Valenzuela City on June 30.
The drive will resume after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s official trip to Canada from July 1 to 5, where Mrs. Marcos will accompany her husband.
The campaign’s next stops are Muntinlupa City on July 8, Parañaque City on July 9, Mandaluyong City on July 10, and will conclude in Bacolod City on July 11.
Last week, Mrs. Marcos visited communities in Manila and Quezon City, where she conveyed the president’s message to the public.
“We cannot eradicate poverty 100 percent, but we can at least do a bit to lessen the burden in the days to come,” she said.
She reaffirmed the administration’s unceasing efforts to ease the hardships faced by low-income families. KRISTINA MARALIT
