A pair of fishermen fought for three hours to land what is thought to be the largest Atlantic blue marlin ever caught on the US east coast.
The 11ft, 1,260lb giant was captured by fishing charter boat captain Damon Sacco and his client Walter Chapman in waters off Massachusetts on Wednesday (19 August).
It was a catch just 142lbs short of the world record blue marlin, caught off the coast of Brazil 1992, according to the International Game Fish Association.
