Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor presented the Sabah State Government Overseas Scholarship (BKNS) for 2024 to five Sabahan students at his office in Menara Kinabalu, here, Wednesday.

The recipients are Allen Martin Jumin (Medicine – University College Dublin, Ireland), Brenda Chan Yi Lin (Biochemistry - University of Manchester, United Kingdom (UK), Muhammad Iezhanuddin Ramlin (Computer Science – Northumbria University, UK), Meagan Chin Min Gen (Law - Cardiff University, UK) and Nurul Sabrina Moh Zakir (Veterinary Medicine - Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia).

The BKNS Overseas Scholarship is offered to Sabah-born students who have achieved outstanding results to further their studies abroad.

Also present were Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, who is also the Education Exco, State Secretary Datuk Seri Sr. Safar Untong, State Civil Service Director-General Datuk Zainudin Aman, BKNS Division Director Emas Sanjongan Datu Okar and the BKNS Committee members.
