  1. Steve Stricker - The 59-year-old captained the US to a dominant victory at Whistling Straits in 2021 and may fancy trying to win on away soil in 2027.
  2. Stewart Cink - He has previously hinted at wanting the chance to captain the team and played in five Ryder Cups as a player.
  3. Brandt Snedeker - Served as one of Keegan Bradley’s vice-captains last year, although he may still be in contention to play in 2027 after starting the season strongly.
  4. Webb Simpson - Another vice-captain in 2025, Simpson may feel the time is right to take on the top role next year at Adare Manor.
  5. Justin Leonard - Still remembered for that putt at Brookline in 1999, Leonard may want to add to his Ryder Cup legacy by captaining Team USA.
