
LAHAD DATU: Five hawker stalls at Batu 13, Simpang Jeroco were destroyed in a fire, on Wednesday.
The State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call following the fire at 1.30am.
A team of 11 firefighters in two fire engines and EMRS vehicle from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to the scene, about 21km away from the station.
“The team arrived at the scene at 1.52am and took eight minutes to control the fire.

No casualty was reported in the incident and all five hawkers stalls were destroyed in the incident.
