
SHAH ALAM, Sept 14 - Five areas in Selangor recorded unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings at 8pm, with Johan Setia logging the highest figure at 169.
The API Management System portal showed that Shah Alam logged 157, followed by Banting (154), Petaling Jaya (141), and Klang (126).
Nationwide, 24 other areas logged unhealthy API readings, including Sarawak’s Serian IPD at 184, and Johor’s Pasir Gudang (166) and Pengerang (163).
Several towns in Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Perak, Pahang and Melaka also had unhealthy API readings.
Thirty-nine areas logged moderate API readings, with no stations recording good readings.
The API classifies readings of between 101 and 200 as unhealthy, with those between 51 and 100 are moderate.
