Heavy rain caused water levels to rise across several Klang Valley locations today, resulting in flash floods in Denai Alam, TTDI, Bukit Jalil, and along the Federal Highway.

PETALING JAYA: Heavy rain across the Klang Valley this afternoon caused water levels to rise on several roads, resulting in flash floods in multiple locations.

Social media users shared photographs and videos showing rising water levels in areas including Denai Alam, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Bukit Jalil, USJ and the Federal Highway near Amcorp Mall.

Some footage showed vehicles making their way through flooded roads, while the heavy downpour also reduced visibility for motorists.

In Denai Alam, a Threads user reported that some motorists had to turn back because of the road conditions.

Another user, who also identified the location as Denai Alam, said drivers approaching the area from the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) were forced to abandon their journey and turn around.

Similar conditions were reported in TTDI, where photographs shared online showed several vehicles travelling through floodwaters.

In Bukit Jalil, water was reported to have begun covering parts of the road as motorists headed towards Puchong.

Meanwhile, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds was reported in USJ 9, while rising water levels were also observed along the Federal Highway near Amcorp Mall.
