Marinated Ingredients

  • 300 grams boneless chicken (cut into 1-inch cube pieces)
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Other Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 medium onion (petals)
  • 12 cubes of green capsicum
  • 2 teaspoons chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon light soya sauce
  • 3 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 cup oil for frying

Method

  1. Take a bowl, and add chicken cubes, egg, turmeric, plain flour, corn flour, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, deep fry it and leave aside.
  2. Now take a pan on medium heat and start by putting in oil. Then add garlic, and saute it until it goes light brown. This should be done on low heat.
  3. Now add ginger paste, onions and capsicum and cook for 1 minute. Add chilli flakes, chilli powder, soya sauce, and water and mix well.
  4. Add the fried chicken back to the pan and cook for another 2 minutes on low heat.
  5. Finally, top up with coriander leaves. Done!

Final thoughts:

  1. You may serve this dish as a starter or as a side dish.
  2. The flavour of this dish will appear if you saute the garlic well until light brown.
  3. You may add red or yellow capsicums too.
  4. This dish is dry without any gravy. If you want some gravy, you may add some extra tablespoons of water. Enjoy it while it is still hot.
