Kota Kinabalu: A temporary relief centre (PPS) was opened at the Manggatal Community Hall at 8 p.m. today to shelter residents displaced by flash floods across the district.
The activation followed recommendations from the Kota Kinabalu District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD).
Mayor Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah, who chairs the committee, officially declared a flood disaster at 8pm on Thursday following ground assessments and reports from response agencies.
