Flood evacuees in Beaufort rise to 233 people from 69 families

KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood victims in Beaufort has risen to 233 people from 69 families this morning.

This represents an increase from the 199 people from 64 families who were displaced yesterday.

According to a statement from the Sabah Disaster Management Committee, all evacuees have been placed at the Selagon Permanent Evacuation Centre in Beaufort.

The floods began yesterday and have affected a total of eight villages in the Beaufort district. – Bernama
