"All agencies involved in Disaster Management are requested to be ready for the implementation of Disaster Relief Operations within their respective jurisdictions," the notice stated.

It further advised road users to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Nearby residents were instructed to stay vigilant and be prepared to evacuate if directed by authorities.

Social media videos confirmed the severity of the situation, showcasing the main road submerged in water.

One user suggested that drainage issues caused by a newly opened road might have contributed to the flash flood.
