KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 - The flood situation in Sarawak continues to improve with only two people from a family still sheltering at a temporary relief centre (PPS) in Dewan Suarah Marudi, Miri, as of 7am today.

The State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) said 14 victims from four families had returned to their homes yesterday evening.

Meanwhile, floods in Sabah fully receded yesterday evening, allowing all victims to return to their homes.

However, the Sabah JPBN said landslide victims, comprising 82 people from 20 families, are still taking shelter at the PPS in Dewan Kampung Gawir, Penampang.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms in several parts of Sabah from this morning until late tonight.
