NABAWAN: Flooding here has worsened, with more homes submerged and several vehicles trapped underwater.
A Kampung Kuala Pamuntarian Takul resident reported that over ten houses were inundated early Saturday morning.
Kampung Pandiwan was also affected, with ten houses flooded on the same day, according to the N.46 Constituency Office liaison officer on site.
During a committee meeting on Friday, Nabawan has been officially declared a disaster area, said District Officer and Disaster Management Committee Chairman Marshal Anthony @ Idham.
A check by Daily Express this morning found Pamuntarian Road and the Nabawan-Sepulut Kalabakan route cut off due to rising floodwaters near the affected villages.
