Heavy rainfall has affected several parts of northern Morocco, prompting emergency measures in flood- and landslide-prone areas.

In Kenitra, authorities mobilised emergency services, local officials and volunteers to support residents and protect livestock as flood risks increased.

Efforts included reinforcing vulnerable areas, clearing drainage channels and transporting animals to safer locations, while barley was distributed to farmers to support livestock.

In the Chefchaouen region, heavy rain triggered landslides that cut roads, leading authorities to redirect traffic and issue travel advisories.

Residents were urged to remain vigilant and follow official instructions as severe weather alerts remained in place.
