A man has been arrested in Tampa, Florida after he was seen restraining an 11-year-old girl he believed was throwing eggs at his house.
Marius Mutu, 43, told deputies someone had been egging his apartment for the past week, and assumed the girl walking nearby was responsible.
Mutu chased the girl and forced her to the ground until other adults intervened.
He claimed he was attempting to photograph the child to report the incident to his apartment's management.
Mutu was taken into custody, with Sheriff Chad Chronister saying his behaviour "is not only unacceptable" but "rephrehensible".
