SHAH ALAM - Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek suggests that all parties make complaints according to the correct channels and processes, especially involving matters under her ministry.
Fadhlina said s there is a special platform provided to receive complaints whether related to bullying cases or of a general nature, which is through the Public Complaint Management System (SisPAA).
"We want to encourage the community to use the right channels to deal with this matter more efficiently and effectively based on our processes and work lines," she said at a press conference after launching the 2022 Annual Report of the Malaysian Education Development Plan (PPPM) 2013-2025 at the Raja Tun Uda Library, Section 13 here on Tuesday.
She said this when commenting on the culture of the community that adheres to the concept of making issues viral, instead of going through the proper channels.
Meanwhile, in responding to parents' complaints about subject syllabus issues, higher-level thinking skills (HOTS), and difficult questions, Fadhlina said that an engagement session regarding co-curriculum will be held soon with all parties involved and all issues touched upon will be discussed.
"I think the general public must understand that this syllabus issue has its cycle, we will now go to the co-curriculum, and we will call everyone for this engagement session.
"In relation to the difficult questions, only five percent, the reason why it is also important for us to understand the parents is according to the children's level of understanding.
"We have to be fair that there are children who have slightly higher skills compared to other children, compared to other questions that can be mastered by their age level," she said.
Fadhlina also reminded parents not to worry too much because the ministry is examining co-curricular issues more seriously and assured that an engagement session regarding the matter will involve all parties.
