
PENAMPANG: Chairperson of the 2025 Sabah State-level Malaysia Day Celebration Organising Committee, Datuk Seri Christina Liew, who is also Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, was represented by the Ministry’s Deputy Permanent Secretary II, Datin Dr Cleopatra @ Clare Asing, at the official handover of 800 food packages to flood and landslide victims as well as frontline personnel at the Penampang District Police Headquarters (IPD) on Saturday.
“This contribution is an initiative by the State Government to demonstrate concern and solidarity with communities affected by natural disasters. The distribution of food aid aims to ease the burden faced by victims while also expressing appreciation to frontline workers who continue to serve with dedication for the safety and well-being of the people,” the State-level Malaysia Day Celebration Organising Committee said in a statement, Sunday.
Dr Cleopatra, who was accompanied by Ministry officials, handed over the aid to the Deputy President of Penampang District Council, Noemi Dyena John Tren as the Disaster Relief Centre’s representative.
