The Food and Civil Supplies Department has suspended its inspector, Ankur Jangra, for alleged negligence in duty after a video of water being sprayed on wheat stocks came to light in Kurukshetra.

As per information, a video of water being sprayed on wheat bags at Alampur village has come to light, following which a group of farmers under the banner of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Shaheed Bhagat Singh) demanded action against the officials concerned.

Following the complaint, DC Vishram Kumar Meena constituted a committee to investigate the matter on May 22, and on the basis of the report, Director General Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Anshaj Singh issued orders to suspend Jangra with immediate effect.

The inquiry committee constituted by the administration was headed by the SDM, Shahabad, while the District Manager of HAFED, Kurukshetra, was appointed its member.
