Foreign Ministry confirms five Malaysians in West Bank

PUTRAJAYA - Foreign Ministry confirms five Malaysians including a woman with her mother and three children are in the conflict area West Bank.

The ministry said that the Malaysian Embassy in Amman, Jordan was always in touch with them.

“The Foreign Ministry advises any parties or Malaysian citizens with information on the whereabouts of their relatives or acquaintances who are still in the conflict zones to contact the ministry to enable aid to be sent, if necessary,” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Malaysian Embassy in Amman Jordan could be contacted through the line 962 65902400/ 962 785902400 (after 3.30pm local time) and email: mwamman@kln.gov.my.

Other than that, the public could also contact officers on duty at Wisma Putra West Asia Division at 0102884116 (Faizal) and 01114901787 (Hakim) after office hours or 03-88874570 as well as through email: dutyofficer@kln.gov.my.

The Ministry also advised the public who planned to make the trip to the conflict area to delay their plans due to safety concerns.
