SANDAKAN: A 28-year-old foreigner was killed after being attacked by a crocodile at the squatter area’s garbage disposal site at Batu 8, here, Friday.
Acting Sandakan Police Chief, Supt Ramasamy Kuppan, said the incident happened at about 8.20pm.
Advertisement“Preliminary investigation found that the victim was crossing a wooden bridge to get to his brother’s house when the crocodile attacked him.
“The man managed to scream and call for help,” he said.

Read more The victim’s body was found by family members about two metres from the site at 9.30pm the same night.
Traces of crocodile bite marks were found on the body which was sent for post mortem.
