Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper believes his team have to find the right balance on Saturday in the Premier League.
As they prepare to take on last season's treble winners, Cooper feels they must find the right balance in respecting Manchester City and believing in themselves.
Forest played out a 1-1 draw with Burnley on Monday and will now be hoping to go even better against City.
On the Citizens, Cooper told reporters: "You have to go there with ambition, you have to go there with confidence and a mentality to be at your best.
"There has to be a balance. You have to respect how good they are, but you also have to continue to believe in yourself.
"If we want to get success in any game, it doesn't happen if you don't believe in yourself and don't go and make things happen.
"All I'm doing is recognising the level of Manchester City and what they've achieved, the trophies they won last season and the status of Pep Guardiola who is certainly an inspiration to me.
"But I also go there believing in my team, the players believe in each other and we want to take what we can into the game to give us the best opportunity of doing well and that never changes."
