Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin said the Sabah Government should form a bipartisan committee to renegotiate the existing power and resource-sharing structures in the Federal Constitution.
“Sabahans and Sarawakians have long felt sidelined since the formation of Malaysia,” he said in a statement, Sunday. He was echoing the sentiments of Johor and Penang leaders who recently spoke about their states being unfairly treated.
The Sultan of Johor had said his state was sidelined despite being a top contributor to Malaysia’s economy and had the right to leave the federation, if necessary.
