KENINGAU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) received a boost ahead of the 17th State Election (PRN17) with the entry of former Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) Bingkor candidate Alphonsus Felix and his supporters into the party.
He was joined by Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Malaysia (PKDM) former chief representative Petrus Dumbuh, during a brief meeting at the Party’s Division office here, Tuesday.
Warisan Bingkor coordinator Benedict Martin Gunir said the new members showed that more people are placing their hopes in Warisan.
“Their entry proves that many believe in Warisan’s struggle to defend the rights of Sabahans, especially in the Interior. We will continue to work hard to ensure the people’s voice is heard,” he said.
Keningau Warisan chief Resinin Kautis welcomed Alphonsus and his group, describing it as a wave of support that reflected confidence in Warisan.
“This shows that the people of the Interior, especially in Keningau, see Warisan as the best platform to defend their rights, dignity and future. Warisan is not just a political party but the people’s struggle for unity, justice and welfare,” he said.
He also said Warisan remains open to all who wish to join its struggle to build a better Sabah.
Alphonsus thanked Warisan for accepting them, saying they will also help explain to the people why Sabahans should choose Warisan in PRN17.
Also present were Deputy Division Chief Raymond Koh, Vice Division Chief Rancong Amin, Division Secretary Agus Yanul, Division Information Chief Johanis Manggata Mohd Johan, Division Treasurer Kong Fui Seng, Women’s Chief Sarifah Bidin, Wira Chief Tasbey Salam and other Division, Women and Wira leaders.
