Bryson DeChambeau is not only the biggest star on LIV Golf but it’s fair to say that he is the biggest name in the entire professional game, all things considered.

DeChambeau very much does things his own way and he has a huge following away from tournaments via his content creation on YouTube.

The 32-year-old has won twice on LIV Golf this season, but he has struggled badly in the majors, missing the cut at both The Masters and the PGA Championship.

Bryson DeChambeau has enjoyed huge success throughout his career, with two major championships to his name and he is one of the few players who has remained competitive in the biggest events since joining LIV Golf, despite his recent struggles in the majors.

However, the man from Dallas, Texas, now faces a very uncertain future after Saudi Arabia’s PIF announced that they will withdraw their funding from LIV Golf from the end of this season onwards.

As a result, DeChambeau has actually been linked with a move back to the PGA Tour at some point in the very near future.

But will he be keen to return to the PGA Tour, or focus more on his content creation?

What Bryson DeChambeau could do if LIV Golf folds

With the future of LIV Golf completely up in the air right now, nobody actually knows what DeChambeau is planning to do moving forward.

Stephen Gallacher has been speaking on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast about DeChambeau’s impact on the game.

And the Scottish former Ryder Cup player admitted that he is a huge fan of the American.

I see him doing a bit of both, Gallacher said.

I see him doing content, more content, way more content, and playing the odd game, because I think he’s built up a following on YouTube, and I think he really enjoys that.

And, you know, he’s always talking about doing content, doing different stuff. Getting golf to a broader sort of fan base and all that.

Then, I think he’ll play a bit as well.

If LIV stops, I think he’ll play a bit of the PGA Tour, the majors, and then to supplement all of that, he’ll be doing the content stuff.

You can see it’s a scenario where the PGA Tour and Bryson. I think he can come back.

Can’t he because he’s won a major within a certain time? That’s the confusion, whether that offer would be extended to him again.

Yeah, and I said there’s so many grey areas, loopholes, you know, hearsay, but nobody really knows what’s happening. So it’s all speculation.

And Bryson … nobody knows what he’s doing anyway.

You know, he’s one of these guys that I just love to watch. I think he’s box office. You don’t know what you’re going to get with him.

But I would love to see him come back, because he’s one of those guys that you don’t know what you’re going to get with him.

It’s the unknown, and he’s thinking about weird stuff, and he’s inventing stuff, and I just think it’s great to see.

Bryson DeChambeau said to be considering a ‘shocker’

Gallacher commented on how he would feel about DeChambeau leaving professional golf to focus purely on content creation.

Well, I think that would be a shocker if he went just to pure content, the Scot said.

I like watching him. Maybe I wouldn’t go for a beer with him, but I like watching him. You know what I mean?

When you watch him on the TV, he does stuff like trying to hit it 360 yards, and all the clubs are the same size, and thick grips, and he’s always thinking, he’s always trying to get that little one percent.

I love that, and he’s just in his own world.

He’s got a proper niche market, and he’s brilliant at it. Chipping over his house and stuff like that, and, you know, and there is a place for that.

If it gets golf on a broader scale and gets more people involved in playing golf, well, fantastic.

Hopefully Bryson DeChambeau finds a way to compete on the biggest stage while continuing to create content for his huge army of online fans.
