Kota Kinabalu: A former Sabah hospital director has lodged a police report seeking a probe into how confidential information regarding sexual harassment allegations against him was allegedly leaked to the media and social platforms.
The senior medical officer filed the report at the Luyang police station on Sunday through his counsels, Datuk Ram Singh and Joan Goh, following reports that he had been transferred to a state Health Department post pending further action.
Joan said the client, who has served for about 30 years and is eight months away from retirement, was concerned that unverified details were made public despite no adverse findings by any court, the Tribunal for Anti-Sexual Harassment (Tags), or a disciplinary body.
She added that an earlier police investigation into the matter had been classified as "No Further Action", while Tags had yet to deliver its decision following a hearing in late July.
The legal team has also received instructions to initiate a judicial review application against the Health Ministry and the federal government over what they described as an ungrounded reassignment, as well as legal action against specific parties over the alleged leak.
