Four semi-permanent houses behind UTC Ampangan in Seremban were 80% destroyed in a fire, but all 17 occupants escaped unharmed
SEREMBAN: Four semi-permanent houses located behind UTC Ampangan here was 80 per cent destroyed in a fire , yesterday.
Seremban Fire and Rescue Station Senior Fire Officer I Raihan Che Mat said the department received an emergency call about the incident at 8.17 pm.
“Upon arrival at the scene, we found that four semi-permanent houses measuring 72×30 square feet were nearly 80 per cent destroyed.
“Firefighting operations are underway using three hose lines. The operation involves personnel from Seremban station with assistance from Ampangan and Seremban 2 stations,” he said in a statement.
Raihan said there were no casualties and all 17 occupants of the four houses were safe.
