Freddie Flintoff has recalled his youngest son’s heartbreaking reaction to his injuries following his horror Top Gear crash.

The former England cricketer suffered life-changing injuries when the three-wheel Morgan Super 3 car he was driving crashed and flipped on the track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey, back in December 2022.

In his new Disney+ Flintoff documentary, released today (25 April), Flintoff said his three-year-old son’s reaction to his injuries was “heartbreaking”.

He said: “He wouldn't come near me at first. He was frightened of me, frightened of my face, it was heartbreaking. I got PTSD.”
