What a good initiative!

A Petron station situated in Permatang Batu, Penang has gone viral recently after a regular customer snapped a picture of their free food bank corner and posted it on Twitter.

According to @piqalee, she has noticed several other Petron stations in her area practising the same initiative. One user replied to her tweet saying he has seen one Petron station in Seremban having a free food bank as well.

To assist communities in coping with the financial effects of Covid-19, Petron Malaysia has established the "Jom Bantu Food Bank and Community Table" programme, back in 2020 when the pandemic first hit.

It's so nice to see they're still running the programme almost three years later!

Have you seen this free food bank at Petron near your area? Please share with us in the comments. Who knows someone might benefit from it!
