Based on the second part of Mona Kasten’s best-selling series of novels, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us is one of the most popular German television series and is now back with Season 2 on Amazon Prime.

The first season, based on the book Save Me, went viral upon its release on May 9, 2024, leaving fans eager to see what unfolds next in Ruby and James’ love story. The official trailer for Season 2 — inspired by Mona Kasten’s sequel, Save You — has only heightened the excitement. While the romance continues to take centre stage, it’s the breathtaking filming locations that lend Maxton Hall – The World Between Us its irresistible charm. Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 2: Plot, cast & trailer


Directed by Martin Schreier, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 2 picks up after the tragic death of James’ mother, impacting his relationship with Ruby. James becomes self-destructive and struggles with grief, causing an emotional distance from Ruby. The second season centres around James’ efforts to reconcile with Ruby and their career goals. It would be interesting to watch how the duo deals with the tragedy, internal conflicts, family pressure, and career goals.

The main cast features Harriet Herbig-Matten as Ruby and Damian Hardung as James. Joining them are Sonja Weißer (Lydia), Ben Felipe (Cyril), Fedja van Huêt (Mortimer), Runa Greiner (Ember), Justus Riesner (Alistair), Andrea Guo (Lin), Frederic Balonier (Kieran), and Eli Riccardi (Elaine).

The drama is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2025. Season 2 will feature six episodes, with the remaining three releases weekly on Wednesdays through November 28, 2025.

Just like its previous season, Marienburg Castle in Germany remained the main shooting location for Season 2. The castle is portrayed as an old-fashioned private school called Maxton Hall in the series. The grand halls and towers of this castle make it the perfect spot to show the fancy life of the students at Maxton Hall in the series.
