The first season, based on the book Save Me, went viral upon its release on May 9, 2024, leaving fans eager to see what unfolds next in Ruby and James’ love story. Directed by Martin Schreier, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 2 picks up after the tragic death of James’ mother, impacting his relationship with Ruby. James becomes self-destructive and struggles with grief, causing an emotional distance from Ruby. The second season centres around James’ efforts to reconcile with Ruby and their career goals.
