TAIPING: A woman’s decision to support local traders during Ramadan took an unpleasant turn when she allegedly found live maggots inside fried chicken bought at a bazaar, Says reported.
In a viral TikTok video, she showed the maggots wriggling inside the chicken and said she had chosen not to cook that day to support local traders.
She expressed disappointment over what she described as poor food hygiene, saying the incident affected her family’s breaking fast.
She said her son did not eat the chicken and that a friend later sent properly cooked food, while netizens urged her to lodge a report and seek a refund, with one user claiming a similar experience.
