BANGKOK: The Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) was the only trade organisation to represent Sabah and Malaysia at Thaifex Horec Asia 2025.

FSI President Richard Lim was among the thousands of invitees, exhibitors and visitors who attended the event.

He also brought a number of business people from China to attend the event.

Lim met with Thailand Minister of Commerce Pichai Naripthaphan to forge closer business relationship with Thailand for Sabah and Malaysia, during the event.

Lim told Daily Express that FSI intends to attract 100 exhibitors from Thailand this year compared to 70 Thai businesses that came last year to Sabah’s top trade show - the Sabah International Expo (SIE).

Lim revealed he would bring business individuals like Anna Lee, the CBO of Thailand and Malaysia representing the Supcon Advanced Materials Technology Group with offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Indonesia, to Sabah.

This year’s SIE is scheduled to be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in September.
