Two armed men robbed and shot a salesman at Guru Amardas Filling Station in Thathian Mahanta village here on Tuesday.
According to information, the injured salesman, Surjit Singh, was attending to customers when two motorcycle-borne robbers arrived at the petrol pump. The assailants, carrying pistols, robbed him of Rs 12,000 before opening fire.
The bullet struck Surjit Singh in the leg, following which the robbers fled the scene. After receiving information about the incident, the Sarhali police reached the spot and gathered details. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
