
MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) on Wednesday said that the fuel surcharge for passenger and cargo flights would climb to Level 19 for April 16-30, 2026 from Level 8 in April 1-15, as the war in the Middle East continued to affect fuel prices.
In a directive dated April 13 but released today, CAB said that passengers would be paying an additional P627-P1,834 in fuel surcharges for domestic flights depending on flight distance.
Meanwhile, passengers on international flights will pay will pay an additional P2,070.77-P15,397.15, also depending on the flight's distance.
For domestic cargo flights, customers will pay P3.22-P9.43 in fuel surcharges and from P10.65-P79.15 for international cargo flights based on distance traveled.
Fuel surcharges are an additional, often variable fee added to transportation, shipping, or travel costs to offset volatile fuel prices.
