On 1 September, a body believed to be a murder victim was discovered near the Limo area at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang, Selangor.
KLIA District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azman Shari’at, said they got a tip-off from the public about the discovery around 7.50 PM.

The body was found in a decomposed state
Azman Shari’at was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying that investigations showed the body, which was decomposed, was of a woman. The decomposing was fully clothed in a white T-shirt and cream cargo shorts when found.
“The body was badly decomposed, with the head incomplete and only the skull left. From the condition, the victim is believed to have died about a week earlier,” he said.
He added that the remains were sent to Serdang Hospital’s Forensic Unit for a post-mortem to find out the cause of death.
“The post-mortem revealed four suspicious injuries on the victim’s body, despite its decomposed state,” he said.

The victim’s identity is still unknown
According to Azman Shari’at, the victim’s identity is still unknown as no ID documents were found on the body.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, and the motive for the murder has yet to be determined.
“Anyone who may have lost a family member fitting the description, or has any information, is urged to come forward. You can head to the nearest police station or contact the investigating officer, DSP Tee Ah Chew, at 018-2183555.”
