Real Madrid veteran Marcelo admits he was relieved when Zinedine Zidane returned as coach.
Marcelo has just come off the worst season of his career at Real.
"For me, he is like a big brother," he said of his coach.
"Not so much for playing me again, but rather for the joy he brings," Marcelo told Esporte Espetacular.
Marcelo, who was not selected for his country's Copa America squad this summer, is keen on fighting for a return to the Selecao.
"The only thing I can do is work harder to regain a spot in the Brazilian national team. It is one of my objectives."
