Mateo Kovacic has withdrawn from Croatia's upcoming Euro2020 qualifiers against Slovakia and Azerbaijan.
The Chelsea midfielder picked up a knock in Saturday's draw with Sheffield United.
Kovacic has started all but one of Chelsea's five matches in all competitions this season.
According to the Daily Mail, he suffered an inflamed Achilles injury against the Blades.
The news also comes as a blow to Croatia, who are third in Euro2020 qualifying round Group E.
