TUARAN: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, also Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) president, has urged the party's information machinery at all levels to continue combating opposition lies and slander ahead of the upcoming state election.
He said the information teams must also master the digital space and social media while strengthening public support for Gagasan Rakyat and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
Hajiji stressed the need for a fast and efficient information network to counter opposition narratives and promote government aid initiatives and achievements.
He reminded party members that this year is an election year and called on the information machinery to intensify efforts to explain government policies and successes to the people.
Hajiji delivered his message when officiating the Gagasan Rakyat 'Gasak 17' Information Machinery Workshop and Launch at the Bajausama Association Cultural Centre here on Saturday.
